While serving on the board of directors for the Lincoln County Coalition Against Child Abuse & Child Advocacy Center, Ross created this event in 2017, believing that a handful of people might enjoy cigars and bourbon enough to interest them. Little did he know that "Cigars, Bourbon & Benefactors" would grow to generate over $700,000 to help children heal from abuse.

Since 2021, Colleen has assisted with coordinating VIP activities and site planning. For 2025, she is playing a much larger roll, including working with breweries, distilleries, wineries, and other participants. Colleen owns Sea Berry Events, which specializes in the adult beverage industry.
