Despite the event name, we wish to put people first, not the alcohol. We encourage responsible drinking.
You are invited to drink alcohol, but it is not an expectation.
Respect the rights of individuals who do not wish to drink.
There are many nonalcoholic beverage options available and in a manner that does not make nondrinking a secondary, lesser experience. Even when greeted with a welcome cocktail, water and a nonalcoholic option will be offered.
Hydration stations will be located separate from the bar areas.
Alcohol service will end at 8:30, to provide guests an opportunity to enjoy additional food and water prior to departing at 9 PM. If you choose to depart earlier, we ask that you stop consuming alcohol at least 30 minutes prior.
Know your limit. Please limit consumption to an amount that does not cause intoxication. We recommend the equivalent of one drink per hour or less. (Remember that tastings and samplings add to the equivalent.)
Eat while you drink. Starting with your first drink.
Sip your drink.
Order a drink only when you want one.
Use alcohol carefully in connection with medicines.
Designate a sober driver or arrange for transportation in advance. (Ask your driving-age children, a neighbor, or friend to drop you off and pick you up.)
If you are not sober and do not have transportation, do not drive. Notify an event volunteer and we will work with you to arrange transportation.
