Is there an age restriction?
No one under 21 years old is permitted to attend.
May I vape or smoke cigarettes?
Neither cigarette smoking nor vaping is permitted; however, feel free to bring your own pipe. Absolutely no THC products.
Is this a seated dinner?
No. Small plates are served at various food and dessert stations, allowing you to wander and experience it all at your own pace. Guests primarily stand and mingle. A few cocktail tables are available.
Am I expected to donate?
It is a fundraising event, but when it comes to donating: "all may, some should, none must." Come out and enjoy the evening, while learning about the Child Advocacy Center. We'd love for you to come prepared to make a pledge, bid for auction items, and purchase raffle tickets. We accept cash, checks, and credit cards.
If you accept checks and credit cards, why do you recommend that I bring cash?
We accept cash, checks, and credit cards for pledges, auction winnings, and regular raffle tickets. In addition to our standard raffle, we are introducing "Playing Card Raffles" for added fun. In these raffles, you'll have the chance to buy one-half of a playing card. If your half matches the drawn half, you win the raffle item. Each raffle is limited to 52 playing cards, and only cash will be accepted for these special raffles due to their spontaneous nature. Depending on the raffle item, each playing card costs either $20 or $100. You can purchase between 1 and 52 cards, subject to availability.
Where do I park?
The venue is located at 2702 Devine Rd., Iron Station, NC 28080. Law enforcement officers will direct you to each parking area. We encourage carpooling, having a designated driver, or arranging transportation in advance. (Rideshare is limited and might not be available.)
Do you host the event rain or shine?
Our event is only canceled in the case of a life-threatening weather situation. We have both indoor and outdoor facilities at the venue, so we can accommodate various weather conditions. If we need to move the event indoors due to weather, the space will be intimate but still enjoyable. We’ll ensure that all aspects of the event are comfortably managed, so you can have a great experience regardless of the weather.

Is this a formal event?
Leave the tie and stilettos at home. Dress stylish, not stuffy. Something you would wear on a first date. Nothing you'd wear to bed, beach, or bleachers. Nice jeans and shorts are welcome. Make certain to dress for the weather and wear sensible shoes, you'll spend time inside, on pavement, and on the lawn.
